The exhibition was under the theme (Ornaments and Identity: Traditional Jewels and Fashion in Oman) that was organized as a result of the bilateral efforts between the Tourism Ministry, British Petroleum Company (BP) and the British Museum.
The ceremony was under the auspices of Alistair Burt, British Minister for Middle East Affairs, Alan Duncan, member of British Parliament, International Development Minister, Bernard Looney, BP's Executive Vice President for Developments in British Petroleum Company in the presence of Mohammed bin Hamoud al-Toobi, Undersecretary of Tourism Ministry, Nasser bin Khamis al-Jashmi Undersecretary of Oil and Gas Ministry, Yusuf bin Ahmed al-Jabri, Deputy Chairman of the Omani Diplomatic Mission in London, a large number of academic researchers and archeologists in Britain and Europe."
